VAMP Advanced skin rejuvenation treatment now available in Atlanta at Atlanta Skin Wellness Center with Dr. Barnett

VAMP Advanced is now available at Atlanta Skin Wellness Center as part of select facial, microneedling, and laser protocols.

Every fall, patients start coming in asking what they can do to look and feel their best before the holidays. It comes up at nearly every consultation this time of year, and I take it seriously. The holidays bring photos, gatherings, events, and a general awareness that you want your skin to look healthy, not just covered up.

This season, I have something new to offer. VAMP Advanced is a professional-grade bio-revitalizing solution I have started incorporating into select treatments here at Atlanta Skin Wellness Center. It can stand on its own as part of a refreshing facial, pair well with microneedling, or add meaningful support to certain laser protocols. Here is what it actually is, how I use it, and whether it might fit your goals.

What Is VAMP Advanced?

VAMP Advanced is a professional-use topical solution, not an injectable. Its formulation combines polydeoxyribonucleotides (PDRN) with hyaluronic acid, 11 vitamins, 23 amino acids, and 6 minerals. Together, these ingredients are designed to support skin hydration, improve texture, and promote a healthier-looking complexion.

PDRN consists of purified DNA fragments derived from salmon. It has received real attention in aesthetic medicine for its role in supporting skin rejuvenation and improving the appearance of elasticity. Paired with hyaluronic acid, which draws moisture into the skin and helps retain it, and a combination of vitamins and amino acids to support skin conditioning, the result is a formulation built for visible improvement in skin quality, not just surface hydration.

One thing to clarify: VAMP Advanced is a topical product intended for professional cosmetic use. It is applied during your treatment by your provider as part of a customized protocol. It is not injected. Results vary depending on your skin and the treatment method used.

The Glow and Go Facial is a convenient option for patients who want a refreshed, radiant appearance with no planned downtime.

Three Ways I Use VAMP Advanced

The right approach depends on your skin, your goals, and how much time you have before any upcoming events. I currently incorporate VAMP Advanced in three different settings.

Glow & Go Facial

A refreshing facial incorporating VAMP Advanced as part of a topical skin-revitalization approach. Ideal before a holiday event when you want a hydrated, healthy glow and no recovery time on the calendar.

No planned downtime

Microneedling + VAMP

Microneedling stimulates the skin's natural collagen response through controlled micro-injuries. Pairing it with VAMP Advanced supports hydration and radiance during the renewal process. Some redness and recovery should be expected.

Short recovery, stronger results

Laser Add-On

Certain laser protocols can incorporate VAMP Advanced to support skin hydration and revitalization. The timing and method depend on the specific laser used and your skin's condition. Not every laser treatment is a candidate for this combination.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

Treatment suitability varies by skin type, skin tone, and the procedure being considered. Dr. Barnett will recommend an appropriate approach after evaluating your skin.

The Glow and Go Facial is a good fit for patients who want a visible improvement in hydration and radiance without any scheduled downtime. If you have an event coming up soon, this may be an option worth discussing. Microneedling with VAMP Advanced is better suited for patients who want to address uneven texture, visible pores, or early signs of dullness, and can plan for a few days of redness and recovery afterward. For anything involving downtime, I generally advise booking at least two weeks ahead of any important date.

If you are not sure which approach fits your situation, that is exactly what a consultation is for. I will look at your skin, talk through what you are hoping to accomplish, and give you an honest recommendation.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. VAMP Advanced is a professional-use topical solution, not an injectable. It is applied to the skin by your provider as part of a customized facial, microneedling, or laser protocol. VAMP Advanced itself is not injected. Microneedling, when selected, does use fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin.
The Glow and Go Facial is designed with no planned downtime. Most patients return to normal activity the same day. Some mild redness or sensitivity is possible in individual cases, but most people find it passes quickly. This makes it the better option for someone with an event coming up in the near term.
Microneedling involves temporary redness, mild swelling, and skin sensitivity that can last several days. I recommend scheduling at least two weeks before any important occasion to give your skin time to settle and reveal the results. If your event is sooner than that, the Glow and Go Facial is the better choice for a quick, no-downtime refresh.
The right choice depends on your skin concerns, how much downtime you can work with, and your timing around upcoming events. During your consultation, I will evaluate your skin, hear what you are hoping to accomplish, and give you a straightforward recommendation. There is no pressure to choose one option or another before we have had a chance to talk through your situation.

I will be straightforward: VAMP Advanced is not a dramatic transformation in a single session. Its goal is to support hydration and the appearance of smoother, healthier-looking skin, with results that vary by person and treatment. For patients who want to look healthy and refreshed for the holidays rather than dramatically different, it fits very well into a thoughtful plan.
